A LEGEND THAT ENDURES
Nothing quite comes close to the history and the tradition of the Sea Cloud sailing experience. Since it first set sail in the 1930’s, Sea Cloud has set the standards for luxury travel. Once the privilege of millionaires, Hollywood celebrity, royalty and top-notch politicians, Sea Cloud harks back to the golden age of sea travel. Today, on board the three Sea Cloud vessels, trained and highly skilled professionals ensure that guests get a feeling of that old world charm and comfort both within their immaculate living suites and the public areas, bars and restaurants. Much of the guest experience is carefully choreographed by a highly motivated and hard-working team of crew members, galley staff and housekeeping personnel who keep alive a legend and a tradition on every voyage. The cuisine and wines personify fine dining provided by a competent and highly skilled staff.
Immaculate housekeeping
As in any luxury accommodation, meticulous and rigorous housekeeping is the key to maintaining a uniform guest experience throughout the voyage. The bed, the linen, the carpet, the furnishings, the bathrooms and the electrical fixtures have to be kept to exacting standards of appearance and maintenance. Housekeeping staff must not only have an eye for detail, but also take pride in their job and keep making sure everything is working in its best capacity. The Unicrew Management placement programme is geared to hand-pick the best housekeeping crew and keep them motivated and inspired through frequent communication and team support. We treat our staff like we want our staff to treat our guests. The employment experience often carries over into shipboard chores and guest relations. Sea Cloud living quarters for guests are like no other cruise ships’ in that they seek to deliver a boutique hotel experience on sea. The crew is successful is delivering the company’s housekeeping policies and maintain the prescribed standards.

Classical way to travel
Sea Cloud travel is largely an outdoor experience, and meals are often served alfresco on the deck with an army of army of stewards and waiters quietly moving around to ensure everything is perfect. The décor evokes a glorious past, with comfortable deckchairs on vast, elegant teakwood decks, fine wood furnishing and polished brass. The camaraderie on board is infectious and never fails to touch every guest who has ever sailed in these ships. But it is the crew that transforms all these into a memorable voyage every time. For our crew, working on the Sea Cloud ships is not just a job, it is their passion and commitment to transform an otherwise regular sea voyage into a magical journey. Here you are among friends even when you are really with strangers you have only just met. The open seating dining is not only a cherished moment but feels like an indulgence overlooked by the world’s most attentive service staff.
Fine dining experience
Sea Cloud cuisine is a class apart and remains the talk of the cruse world and discerning sea travellers the world over. The menus are largely European but also reflects the nationality of guests on board. During most of the Caribbean and North American itineraries, steaks and potatoes are common fare. Each vessel has its own specialities, dictated as much by the season, the availability of fresh produce and the ports of call. There is always an emphasis on quality seafood such as grilled fish, seafood casseroles, Mediterranean salads. Afternoon snack are served on the promenade deck. Every day, the bakery lays out new treats with breakfast and the afternoon tea. Everything is managed by a highly qualified kitchen and service staff.
